China General Chamber of Commerce –Washington D.C. Chapter assisted the Chinese Embassy in hosting a roundtable discussion with a visiting group from the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China. The group, led by Deputy Director General of Foreign Trade, Mr. Wang Dongtang, accompanied by Chinese Embassy’s First Secretary Chen Yong, met with CGCC-D.C. members, following their meeting with the US Department of Commerce earlier in the day. A number of CGCC-D.C. officers attended the roundtable, including Chairman Jiang Chun, Vice-Chairman Tan Xu, Vice-Chairman Zhao Zhenge, and Secretary General Yu Ge. The 2 hour lively discussion covered topics such as the incentives for Chinese companies to invest in the U.S., federal and local policies and regulations, and the challenges facing Chinese investors and manufactures.
